The writer's were fools to end their relationship. Everybody thinks they know what their doing. In the words of Joe all i will say is..."That's all !!"😠
Watching Rhoda now lacks the same vibrant humor in MTM... The only entertaining element in Rhoda is when she attempts to toss her hat in the air and fails... 🧐
I love the characters in the show, Rhoda & Brenda in particular. I just wish they didn't write sooo many Brenda self-deprecating fat jokes. They even write self-deprecating jokes for Rhoda. So annoying. Brenda was not fat, and she was cute. I'll never get why people think these kinds of jokes are funny. I think the show could have been funnier without those jokes.
Is anyone else here because they started watching Mary Tyler more on the free Hulu that was given during the pandemic lock down ? From then I started looking into the cast and the spin offs of the show. These are great. Truthfully, there's nothing like this now. I grew up watching The Nanny, with Fran Dresher, Seinfeld, Friends, Home Improvement, Everybody loves Raymond. Those were all great shows too, The Nanny is my favorite, still watch it 😃 There's nothing like those anymore either, sad.
The 70s were A M A Z I N G. we partaaaaaaaayed and got away with Morder! No cameras, COMPLETE FREEDOM and no screens! It was a complete BLAST 🎂🎯🎉🌟🦋🌹💯🤡🥸🤟🏼✌🏼❤️
The Bronx Grand Concourse portrayal of a Jewish mother was so accurate. Middle class, some were a bit gaudy, very New York. Pristine lobbies and huge apartments with dining rooms behind french doors. We have a huge rent stabilized Concorse apartment thats been in my family for generations. The neighborhood is very shabby but I rent rooms out for a handsome profit and use one of the empty rooms for storage and the other for when I visit NY alone and dont want to pay for a hotel. How I wish I could time travel to the 20s through the 70s when it had that middle class allure with NYC edge.
Rhoda's mother was from the Grand Concourse in the Bronx. Even in the early seventies a Concourse woman would turn their nose up at many Manhattan buildings and neighborhoods. The grandeur of a Concourse apartment and lobby can be seen in the wedding episode.
This show started out with such promise. And then they messed it up. Main reason was the additional surrounding characters- i.e. Benny Gary and Nick. I will definitely exclude Nance Walker from this list. She was the best. Writing suffered. They wrote the soul out of Rhoda.

Filming the scene with the protestors on the street, Linda Kelsey had a gruesome accident with one of the vans of the story. She actually flew in the air with a bad maneuver of the driver, and her left arm was all fractured. The injury of the last scene was real. 🌈👽🦸♀✡🚘🚔🪫🪗🎼🔋🤖🇮🇱! 🇺🇦!!!!!!!!
I could watch their love story forever and not tire over it.😊🩵🩷🙏🏼

Joe needed to slow his roll. "Talk to him will ya!?" 🤔

This episode presents some of the typical curve-pitching of the Democratic government. 🌈👽🦸♀✡🚘🚔🪫🪗🎼🔋🤖🇮🇱! 🇺🇦!!!!!!!!

Rhoda did a great magic trick when she entered the subway station at 72nd & Broadway and immediately got on a train at 68th & Lex (Hunter College)

Joe acts normally. Enough already.
Joe's hands are really small
Wow! The Star Cadet started his Hollywood high profile career as the replacement of Linda Kesley, and her left-arm injury. 🌈👽🦸♀✡🚘🚔🪫🪗🎼🔋🤖🇮🇱! 🇺🇦!!!!!!!!

If they wouldve used Ida soooo much more, it could've been a lot like everybody loves raymond. Oh, well, 45 yrs too late. Lol
My precious father flew to NYC when I lost my 1st job He loved me so much
What a great mom. Almost as good as mine

Rhoda was my nickname.
Remember this as a kid. It's stood the test of time! Funnier than most of the crap that's on T.V now.
Love Rhoda...a great work friend of 10 yrs (lost touch) used to sound just like Valerie H.
Oh wowowowow....that vintage type sofa goes for a lot at estate sales, vintage shops...
Who'd have thought that in 2024 Jews would have to think of moving their "tent to another village"
My favorite show
